The 30th Annual Bean Fest and Outhouse Races was deemed an “amazing festival” and one of the best ever from an organizer’s point of view, according to Michalle Stevens, executive director of the Mountain View Area Chamber of Commerce, event sponsor.
With plenty of local volunteers, there was more help than usual with some of the duties that can wear down a committee after several years.
Artisans Market on the Square at Bean Fest Artists from all over vied for a handful of spots in this closely juried event which has promised – and delivered – only the finest in handcrafted arts and crafts.
From a visitor’s perspective, the cold front that moved through Thursday night created less than desirable weather, with cold and clear conditions both Friday and Saturday. But at least it was dry.
