Arkansas Century Farm – Freeze

A fifth generation is now operating farmland that has been in the Freeze family since 1905 and has been qualified for inclusion in the Arkansas Century Farm Program. The John A. Freeze Farm is on of three inducted in October, and one of six from Stone County added since the program's inception in 2012. Fire Destroys Four Chicken Houses

Retired U.S. Forest Service District Ranger Joe Dabney has been selected as the Mountain View Area Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Citizen for 2015, the Chamber’s highest honor. Pellet Mill Update

The public got an update on the local pellet factory operated by Fiber Energy Products during a public hearing last week regarding a grant for the facility. The company now has 16 employees, 65 percent of whom met the low to moderate income guidelines.
