Authorities are investigating the death of a local couple found dead in their home last week. Stone County Sheriff Lance Bonds won the Democratic nomination for that office over two challengers, and Angie Hudspeth-Wade won the nomination for Stone County and Circuit Clerk in last Tuesday’s preferential primary election. Dodd Mountain Truck Wreck

An 18-wheeler owned by the McLane Company overturned near the top of Dodd Mountain May 2. The truck was northbound hauling frozen food for a company supplying the chain that includes Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.
