The Mountain View Police Department is investigating several recent unauthorized charges on individuals’ debit/credit cards.
The average transaction for each unauthorized charge was less than $10. After obtaining permission from each account holder, their transaction history was reviewed. It was determined that everyone who had unauthorized charges had used their debit/credit card at Pizza Inn of Mountain View between the first of December and mid January.
Pizza Inn was notified, and they immediately took action, said Police Chief Bobby Day. Owners Rocky and Raj Chopra have been in contact with their debit/credit card processing company, which has launched its own independent investigation. Pizza Inn has also changed the hardware they use to process the debit/credit cards.
