As of Feb. 8, no arrests had been made and no students had been removed from school in connection with the campus-wide lockdown the previous Thursday afternoon at Mountain View.
Items discovered in a restroom in the Mountain View High School gym included a “threatening note” written on a paper towel, along with four rounds of ammunition, according to Lieutenant Jeremy Beaudin with the Mountain View Police Department (MVPD).
Beaudin was unable to disclose the contents of the note, as it is part of the active investigation. He said Monday that items have been sent to the crime lab, and the investigation is pending results.
“It’s very narrowed down,” Superintendent Rowdy Ross said Feb. 5, indicating that officers had questioned students but not made any arrests.
