Schools Prepare for Opening Monday
Local schools are gearing up for a new year with just a couple of changes to facilities at the Mountain View campus.
A new awning at the entrance of the kindergarten building was being completed last week. Similar to the brick awning added at the elementary entrance a few years ago, the structure will provide a sheltered site for drop-off and pick-up of students.
The track around the football field (pictured above) is also under construction. Supt. Rowdy Ross said the track was resurfaced just last year but was starting to turn loose. He contacted the company that did the resurfacing, and they have taken up the track entirely and are redoing it.
