North Arkansas College Coach Bobby Howard comments on the current season and some area athletes.
North Arkansas College women's basketball team defeated ASU Mid-South (West Memphis) 67-48 Thursday night at Pioneer Pavilion in Harrison to secure a conference championship. They will be top seed in next week's tournament played at Harding University in Searcy.
The NAC women’s roster includes Abbey Linville of Fox, Kamryn Sutterfield and Haley Gentry of Greers Ferry, Haylie Fry of Valley Springs, and Hannah Bryant of Norfork, all freshmen who will return next season.
The NAC women are ranked 7th in the nation in National Junior College Athletic Association Div. II. ASU Mid-South is ranked 12th nationally.
