Meadowcreek Undergoing Changes

Posted

Changes taking place at Meadowcreek will result in upgrades to the infrastructure to enable hosting of educational programs and overnight guests, according to information released by Gary Valen, president of Meadowcreek, Inc., and Executive Director Bob Gee.

The non-profit based near the community of Fox has changed its name to reflect its mission. It is now Meadowcreek Rural Enterprise Incubator (MREI), following a four-month visioning process led by Gee. The board of directors recently approved Vision 2020, a long-range plan to open the Meadowcreek Institute in mid-2020.

“MREI will use its abundant land to offer entrepreneurs the opportunities to discover ways individuals, families and organizations can earn an income and reside in a remote rural setting,” Valen said. It is projected that MREI will be able to begin hosting educational programs and other events in the fall of this year with lodging and conference facilities.

The Lodge at Meadowcreek will open in mid-July. The Lodge will sleep 11 in four bedrooms with private baths. Full meal service will be available featuring locally grown fresh meat and vegetables.

The Bunkhouse and Conference Center at Meadowcreek will open in early September. The Bunkhouse will feature a bedroom with private bath and will sleep 20 in bunk beds in four bedrooms. It also will have a Great Room that will include meeting space for workshops, seminars, corporate and family gatherings. Full meal service will also be available for this facility.

Both The Lodge and The Bunkhouse can be reserved for educational programs, retreats and family reunions. For more information contact MREI-ED at robertgeeassoc@aol.com.
