Monday Morning Water Updates

Posted

West Stone County Water Association, was still striving Monday morning to get water to customers on the Oxley leg of the system, according to Manager Bruce Hipp.
Customers in any part of that system whose neighbors have water but do not themselves should check their residential lines for leaks. On the new meters, the main screen shows a long row of numbers, Hipp said. If the lid is closed and opened a couple times it goes to a second screen showing three numbers that indicate gallons per minute. If there is no water use taking place in the home and those numbers are still changing, that indicates a leak. Call the WSCWA office at 870-363-4800 for assistance if necessary.

Pleasant Grove Water Association repaired a main line break near the White River Bridge at Guion and was in the process of flowing water to that part of the system on Monday. The entire system remained under a boil order. Bottled water is available to customers at the water office in Pleasant Grove while the supply lasts.
Residents were advised to check for leaks and call the office if they have problems or questions. In addition, make sure meters remain covered to prevent freezing. The number is 870-652-3385.

All customers of Richwoods Water Association should have had water by the end of the day Monday, with those at higher elevations being the last to receive it. Some may be experiencing low pressure until tanks get completely filled. Any customers still without service should look for leaks in the residential lines. Call 870-269-4620 for assistance or to report leaks.
