Shots are administered to George and Helen Young of Mountain View by Heather McClanahan and Mandy Langston. Helen Young said she and her husband have been very careful during the pandemic to aviod exposing anyone else or being exposed.

Stone County Medical Center held the second of four planned mass vaccination events at Flatwoods Baptist Church last Thursday and was able to vaccinate 250 people with the Moderna vaccine. These patients came by appointment from the local pharmacy list of community members within the current eligible group in 1B, which consists of those age 65 and over. Staff working the event included the SCMC leadership team, pharmacy department, nursing department, and volunteers from the local health unit.
