Posted

The Rural Special senior boys put on a three-point shooting clinic in their district semifinal game against top-seeded Concord Feb. 15, propelling the fourth-seeded Rebels to a 73-51 victory. The team got 11 long-range baskets from sophomore Brayden Watts and recorded 18 overall.

The team could not repeat the shooting success in Saturday’s district final, falling to host West Side 60-48.
The Rebels and other semifinalist from district – West Side, Concord, and Viola – advance to this week’s Region 2 Tournament, also hosted by West Side.
