The starting day for the 1A-2 District Basketball Tournament hosted by Rural Special School has been moved up to Saturday because of the forecast for snow midweek.
Senior boy games for Saturday will be (#5) West Side vs. (#8) Shirley at 10 a.m. and (#6) Norfork vs. (#7) Viola at 12:30 p.m.
Senior girl games for Saturday will be (#5) Calico Rock vs. (#8) Shirley at 11:15 a.m. and (#6) Concord vs. (#7) Timbo at 1:45 p.m.
Second-round games are set for Monday. For senior girls, game order is (#4) Norfork vs. Calico Rock/Shirley at 4 p.m., and (#3) Viola vs. Concord/Timbo at 6:30 p.m. For senior boys, game order is (#4) Concord vs. West Side/Shirley at 5:15, and (#3) Timbo vs. Norfork/Viola at 7:45.
Semifinals are set for Thursday. For senior girls, top-seeded West Side awaits an opponent in the 4 p.m. time slot, with second-seeded Rural Special in the 6:30 game. For senior boys, top-seeded Rural Special awaits an opponent in the 5:15 p.m. time slot, and second-seeded Calico Rock in the 7:45 slot.
Championship games are set for Friday, with girls at 5 p.m. and boys at 6:15 p.m.
