2017 Graduation Set May 13

Mountain View’s 2017 seniors will graduate on campus next spring, with ceremonies at all three county schools set for Saturday, May 13. Times are as follows: Mountain View at 9:30 a.m., Timbo at 5 p.m., and Rural Special at 7 p.m., with ceremonies taking place in each school’s gymnasium.

Mountain View’s graduation has been in the Ozark Folk Center auditorium for several years and last year was moved from Saturday to a Tuesday night to accommodate the needs of the state park. A group of parents had lobbied to have the ceremony moved to the campus and back to Saturday, and the board approved this at its Aug. 8 meeting.

Also during the meeting, Supt. Rowdy Ross gave a report on the district’s first batch of scores from the newest assessment test, ACT Aspire.
