Board Approves School Start Dates

Posted

Mountain View School Board approved the later start date for students, amid many questions about what the upcoming semester will look like.

“Right now what we have planned, teachers will come back on the 17th of August, and school will start on the 26th,” Supt. Brent Howard told the board.

He added that students will begin the year with training on digital learning, practicing Google Classroom and learning to use the Chromebooks that will be sent home with them in the event of virtual school.

“Every two weeks on Wednesday we’re gonna have digital days where the teacher is on campus and students are off campus. That’s just in case we have to pivot to all digital, our students will be used to this method,” Howard said.
