After a full week of basketball, Mountain View’s senior girls fell short in their quest for an outright conference championship but go into this week’s district tournament as the number one seed, nonetheless.
Saturday’s afternoon session was the fourth for Mountain View’s teams last week, with two make-up games amid the final matchups of the regular season proving to be spoilers for the girls. Losses to Bald Knob on Wednesday and Harding Academy Saturday put them at 14-2 on conference play, the same record as Clinton. Because Mountain View had defeated Clinton twice, they were awarded the top seed in this week’s district tournament being played at Riverview.
