Blanchard Springs Caverns hosted visitors for special activities July 7, 2023, in observance of the 50th anniversary of its opening. Woodsy Owl and Smokey Bear greeted youngsters and others who attended for cave tours, special photo displays and refreshments. The U.S. Forest Service considers the entire season a celebratory one and invites visitors to obtain tickets at Recreation.gov and take part in the anniversary year.
