Rogers Road is closed at the Long Creek crossing until county crews can  make a  temporary repair to allow safe use, according to Stone County Judge Stacey Avey.

Rogers Road is west of Alco off Highway 66. Avey said there is not much traffic on the road as it nears the Searcy County line, but it is a mail route.

Flash flooding occurred May 28 after about nine inches of rain fell, much of it falling in a two-hour period.

Joel Young, chief meteorologist for FOX 16 News, posted this graphic that shows the area most affected by that day's rainfall.

This post will be updated as more information is gathered.
