This year’s Mountains, Music & Motorcycle event required extra planning and approval from the Arkansas Health Department, but enthusiasts were eager to see the return of a favorite event along with a sense of normalcy in a year that has been hampered by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Aside from the July 4 parade and fireworks, MMM was the first community wide event this year.
Event volunteer John Morrow of Mountain View said it was a sizable but manageable crowd that could spread out and stay in their groups socially distanced. His wife, Nikki Morrow, is the executive director for the event sponsor, Mountain View Chamber of Commerce, said, “There was a great turn-out. Merchants were busy with customers and lodging facilities were full. This was a much-needed boost for our local economy.”
“This year’s bike show had more entries than in previous years and had some amazing examples of artistic work,” John Morrow noted.
