One Killed, Six Injured In Three Wrecks

A Rural Special High School senior was killed and the driver of a propane service truck was injured in wreck Jan. 22 on Highway 66 west of Timbo. Briley Morgan, 17, of Fox was driving west when her vehicle crossed into the eastbound lane and struck a truck driven by Rufus Lee Werb of Mountain View. See the full story in the Jan. 29 issue.

An Izard County Propane truck overturned Jan. 22 at the Highway 5-9-14 intersection at Allison, seriously injuring the driver, James Brian Morris, 68, of Melbourne. A passenger in the truck was treated and released at the hospital. See the full story in the Jan. 29 issue.

A two-vehicle accident on Highway 5 North on Jan. 15 seriously injured two people, and a third was treated and released. James Andrew Barham, 70, was the passenger in the rollback wrecker vehicle seen above, which was driven by 26-year-old Dalton Sartain. Iva Moss, 78, of Little Rock was driving south when her vehicle veered into the opposite lane and the vehicles struck nearly head-on.
