Progress Made On Water Service

Boil order, request to conserve remains in effect

Posted

Mountain View Water Supt. Keith Johnson reported Monday morning (Jan. 22) that the Mountain View tanks are not the level he would prefer, but are holding steady at current levels.

He has collected water samples and is taking them to the health department in Little Rock this morning in hopes of having the boil order for Mountain View lifted. Each rural association will follow with their own samples as pressure is restored to lines.

The largest, West Stone County Water Association, is still striving to get water to customers on the Oxley leg of the system, according to Manager Bruce Hipp. Any customers in any part of that system who think they should have water and whose neighbors have water, should check for leaks. Call the office at 870-363-4800 for assistance.
