Mountain View School Board took several personnel actions and accepted bids on the district’s bank CDs and parking lot resurfacing during a special meeting July 28.
Following a short executive session, they hired Gary Moody as high school social studies/U.S. history teacher at Mountain View, Marilyn Seaton as reading interventionist at Timbo, and Allison Parks as long-term special education sub at Rural Special.
They also transferred Markie Seay from Mountain View pre-K to elementary and accepted the resignation of Jessica Sullivan, Rita Davis, and Jamie Brown.
The board unanimously approved transferring $2 million in certificates of deposit to First Security Bank. They also agreed to transfer some money from the building fund to an interest-bearing checking account at First Security, in order to secure a better rate on the CDs.
