Spring Break Shifted

Mountain View School Board approved a change to the 2024-25 calendar last week, moving spring break one week later.

Spring break week is set by the state and has been the third week of March for many years. After approving the calendar for the upcoming year, administrators learned that the state has moved it to the fourth week, Assistant Supt. Dusty Mitchell explained.

The board rescinded the old calendar and approved a revised one, with this being the only change.

This took place during a special meeting July 23. The board also approved the resignation of Mountain View Elementary School nurse Hollie Hubberd and high school/middle school aide Rhianna Stewart.

Jenna Bleeker was hired for career development and 7th grade health at Mountain View.
